Dear readers,

we are aware that not each of you was able to visit CeBIT this year, even if it was again a show of superlative and LFP products were shown everywhere. But, of course this year the show seemed to be a nearly 100 % telecommunication and internet show and not everyone of the exhibitors in the large format printing hall was really happy.

But new shows will come soon, like VISCOM in Düsseldorf, and of course the LFP-Newsletter will keep you up to date. The June LFP Newsletter will give you some ideas. Here comes the second release and we hope you find all information valuable. Again, the LFP-Newsletter is a free of charge market information service, so it is open for you too. Whenever you like to publish information about your products, your company, personal changes, etc. do not hesitate to send it to the below mentioned e-mail address. Even sponsors are still welcome.

VUTEk UltraVu 2360 SC selected by High Resolutions

New territory of vehicle graphics printing is explored. Knoxville Tennessee based High Resolutions, a full service graphics bureau for colour printing, has installed a VUTEk UltraVu 2360 SC six-colour digital printer to broaden its scope of activities and increase efficiency. President and founder of High Resolutions, Paul Kedrow, selected VUTEk’s award winning 360 dpi 2360 SC after declaring that the printer’s performance ‘exceeded all expectations’.

Paul Kedrow sent files to key large format printer manufacturers and assessed the results obtained with each, before reaching a decision to purchase the VUTEk.

‘We visited two trade shows to see what was available’, he explains. ‘As we are involved in much POP, retail and banner work, high-resolution imaging was a key issue for us. Also, for the outdoor media side of the business, the ability to print on a range of substrates was a high priority.’

Kedrow firmly believes that his new installation competes head on with regular ink-jet alternatives. ‘Our customers are now specifying that their jobs be run on the VUTEk, purely because they appreciate that it produces high quality print at the lowest cost and avoids the need for lamination.’

VUTEk’s UltraVu 2360 SC won the coveted ‘DPI Product of the Year 2000’ award at the annual conference of the Digital Printing and Imaging Association.
