FESPA:
hall 6.2, booth D 800 More information: www.onyxgfx.com 23) ErgoSoft supports HP Designjet
Z series
ErgoSoft
announced RIP support for the new HP Designjet Z
series of photo printers. Models Z2100 and Z6100 are eight color systems,
while the Z3100 model is equipped to handle 12 colors. The new Designjet printers are equipped with the HP70 print
heads, each having 1056 nozzles per color. The new print heads in combination
with ErgoSoft’s RIP software allow for the optimal
use of its three different dot sizes. For example, light areas can be printed
with much finer detail by using the small dots. The Z series of printers
allow the user to choose between matte black and photo black inks. These inks
are permanently in the printer and can be selected from the RIP software,
allowing the user to avoid having to swap out inks. This will decrease the
setup time between matte and glossy print jobs. Furthermore, ErgoSoft RIPs allow the matte
black and photo black inks to be printed at the same time, resulting in a
broad luscious black. Also, the 8th color is a gray, which results in even
more textures in the light areas. The twelve color system of the Designjet Z3100 also includes RGB (red, green, and blue)
which extends the printable gamut considerably. ErgoSoft’s
profiling software, ColorGPS, is well suited to
drive these multi-color systems. FESPA:

textiles for new markets
Neschen
presents at FESPA a new range of textiles: Directtex,
Textiles for DyeSub direct printing and Transfertex, Textiles for DyeSub
transfer printing. The DyeSub printing technology
has already been on the market for quite a while and it is an established
technology for special applications like banner, display and deco textiles. A
heater vaporises the dye ink, it diffuses onto the
textile and solidified. This allows for textiles with incomparably brilliant
colors and superior durability that are even washable. The materials used for
DyeSub printing are mostly polyester or nylon
textiles (synthetic fibres) and also blended
fabrics with a small proportion of cotton (natural fibres).
With the introduction of the DyeSub product range, Neschen offers its customers the right materials for
high-quality and durable end products. The new direct DyeSub
printing technique allows for a large range of applications and outstanding
product features, however, it requires textiles that are treated with a
special coating. The new Neschen directtex materials offer a large selection of textiles
for diverse applications, particularly adapted to the requirements of direct DyeSub printing. All directtext
materials are also appropriate for use in transfer printing. FESPA: hall 3.2, booth C440 and C342 More information: www.neschen.com 40) 3P: Green fabrics
