Dear readers,

here you will find something about interesting innovations and news about Large Format Printing.

1)     FESPA broke all previous FESPA records

Official statistics from FESPA 2007 prove the exhibition succeeded in breaking all previous records. FESPA once again confirmed its position as world’s largest trade show for screen and large format digital printing, at which over 661 exhibitors showcased their products. A record total of 24,232 individual visitors attended the five-day show, an increase of 20% on FESPA 2005 figures. Demonstrating FESPA’s growing reach as an international event, visitors came from over 125 countries. Just over 60% of visitors came from outside of Germany, and after the host nation, the top five countries in terms of visitor nationality were as follows: Italy, Poland, Netherlands, United Kingdom, and Spain. Reflecting the growth in Europe’s emerging markets, visitors from Eastern European countries represented 12% of the show’s overall attendance. Visitors were able to experience many brand new products and developing technologies at the show, indicating once again that FESPA exhibitions present manufacturers with a perfect launch pad and route to market, enabling them to achieve maximum impact among their target audiences. Exhibitors were impressed not only with the volume of traffic to their stands, but particularly with the international profile of visitors and the attendance of decision-makers ready to make purchasing choices. Next FESPA will be held from 8th to12th June 2010 in Munich, Germany.

28) Continental Grafix takes positive stock of FESPA

So far Continental Grafix has never experienced such a response like the one that was caused by FESPA 2007. The decision at short notice to exhibit at the show was absolutely right as product development has just released three new products. And especially these products have drawn most attention of the visitors. Approximately 80% of all contacts were new leads. Many decision takers from large distributors to retail stores as well as from printers and international advertising agencies have found their way to their booth. Their enthusiasm about the new one-way-vision products panoRama Mesh and panoRama Screen was outstanding. For the first time Continental Grafix is striking a new path and presents not only perforated products but also textiles and fabrics yet still having in mind that its main focus is based on the one way see through effect. Though it is indispensable to have a complete black reverse side in order to get the amazing one way, see through effect. This challenge has kept many manufacturers of textiles busy but mostly without success.
