Dr. Graphix introduced new high performed substrates

Dr Graphix Imaging is pleased to announce the official launch of TR51 6.5 mil. The NEW substrate provides the same unparalleled brilliant color, scratch resistant image and tear resistance of TR51 7 mil, but with a surface finish which is half way between TR51 7 mil Gloss & Satin. The 6.5 mil version also comes with a slightly textured surface. These properties enable acceptance of TR51 6.5 mil in an even wider range of applications and display locations, enabling further elimination of lamination, where it is used to achieve particular light reflective properties.

TR51 6.5 mil performs identically to TR51 7 mil across a wide range of applications, and offers the advantages of still better translucency and light diffusion when used in backlit applications. Furthermore the 0.5 mil reduction in base calliper provides a substantial price advantage.

Although there is only 0.5 mil difference in calliper, TR51 6.5 mil is actually 50% of the physical weight of TR51 7 mil. The real advantage here is that transportation costs can be substantially cut, particularly if goods need to be air freighted for any reason.
