SCP releases DaylightRIP 2.0

SCP a Software Company from Aachen, Germany, announced the release of the new software DaylightRIP 2.0. In this new product, the specific qualities of the previous version are enhanced, like SCP‘s own HPGL interpreter and the 3d calibration tool, and a number of new features have been added. A very important innovation is the (optional) RIP server, which allows the integration of MAC workstations and any Windows application in a network through a PPD driver. DaylightRIP contains new printer drivers for the Encad NovaJet 850, the Seiko IP-4500 and the XES X2 (36-2, 54“ and 36“ Tech) and supports, via USB, the new HP 6300 desktop scanner. To the list of supported file formats, Cals Group 4 was added. In order to enhance ease-of use, an important characteristic of all of its products, SCP adapted the user interface and created a new batch for efficient unattended or overnight printing. New is also the WizKey, a small hardware device to be plugged into the USB port of the DaylightRIP workstation, which may be used as an authentification key to which individual user-rights are assigned. To meet increasing demands for security, SCP developed a functionality for encrypted workflow reporting. In connection with the WizKey, detailed and individualized accounts can be created. DaylightRIP 2.0 will be shown at VisCom, hall 6, booth B 11.

JV300 Lemon Yellow Ink Expands Colour Gamut

Scitex Vision’s R&D team has succeeded in developing a new version of yellow ink for its JV300 series, named “Lemon Yellow.” This new ink enables Scitex Grandjet S printers to achieve a wider colour gamut. The new JV300 lemon yellow ink is based on the same JV300 series dedicated to the Scitex Grandjet S family of printers, but uses different pigments. The original JV300 colour gamut has a very strong red and a high-quality print of skin tones. The new JV300 lemon yellow ink adds to these qualities an expanded colour gamut particularly in the green and light green areas. “By using the JV300 series with the new lemon yellow ink, our Scitex Grandjet S customers can now achieve even a wider range of colour combinations than before, “ commented Vice President of R&D, Yossi Kaplan.

The JV300 lemon yellow retains all the advantages and benefits of the JV300 ink series: high quality and reliability. The JV300 inks are known for producing glossy results with very high optical density. The lemon yellow ink, like all the inks in the JV300 series, is also extremely durable with high abrasion resistance, and its pigments have UV resistance of over two years. The new ink was tested rigorously in over five different beta sites, and produced exceptional results all-round. The new lemon yellow ink will be offered to booth existing and new Scitex Grandjet S users, and will be marketed in parallel to the existing JV300 yellow ink.
