Mutoh Europe: Spitfire 100 Extreme
and Blizzard at viscom
At viscom 2007
Mutoh will show its complete product portfolio of cutting plotters,
eco-solvent, mild-solvent and solvent wide-format printers. As the novelties
the new Spitfire 100 Extreme and the Blizzard series printers will be
presented. Both printers incorporate Mutoh’s new intelligent interweaving
print technology. The Spitfire 100 Extreme is a 2.6 m printer offering impeccable
production output quality at 42 qm and top speeds up to 81 qm/h. Available in
both 65” and 90” versions, the Blizzard incorporates 8 microstaggered print
heads and delivers impeccable production speeds up to 40 qm/h and top speeds
up to 81 qm/h. Mutoh has taken a totally new approach with its intelligent
interweaving technology, which is called I2. Ink is laid down in
carefully optimized wave forms, not the straight lines used by other
wide-format inkjet printers. The result is a drastic reduction or even total
elimination of the typical difficulties inherent in conventional digital
inkjet printing, such as horizontal banding, step mismatch banding, ink
mottle and bleed. Next to Mutoh Europe’s booth, Mutoh authorized distributor Systeam GmbH will build a partner booth (hall 8A, booth I
02) where the Mutoh Certified Partners for Germany will
be able to welcome Germany’s
sign professionals on one central platform, to present Mutoh’s extensive
portfolio of digital printing and cutting equipment. Mutoh’s Certified
Partner program, called “MCP”, is a close cooperation between printer
manufacturer Mutoh Europe, Mutoh Deutschland GmbH and LFP distributor Systeam
GmbH.

cross-marks for contour cutting not only on standard materials but also on
reflective, holographic or mirroring materials as well as through different
kinds of laminates. The SummaCut has already been using for a longer time the
most complex algorithms to compensate any deformation of the print, and now
it also offers the best sensor technology. In order to improve productivity,
SummaCut Pharos supports Barcode reading and similar to the professional
S-Class the OPOS system is automatically activated and deactivated for
continuous working without operator intervention. The name Pharos has been given

air bubbles. The HX100WG1 features an embossed polyethylene coated liner with
a structured adhesive and an extremely conformable vinyl formulation for fast
and risk free transfers. Also on show is the KG10000 cast vinyl film for
cutting plotters, available in 31 gloss colors. The KG10000 carries an
enhanced 50µm cast vinyl film with the proven solvent-based adhesive and the
same liner that is also used in their high performance line. Because of its
extreme flexibility and conformability this cast vinyl film is particularly
recommended for long term applications on complex and compound curved
surfaces and for vehicle full wraps. It features an outdoor durability of up
to 10 years and is thus the ideal high end solution for corrugated or riveted
substrates and all substrates with long life cycles. Vehicle wraps using
HX100WG1 will be on demo during the show. Data sheets, swatches and samples
are available directly from Hexis or from local distributors.

33) Neschen: More products to come
Due to
the company’s success with their filmolux easy clear matt and gloss economy
laminates, Neschen decided to include another variety of semi-matt surfaces
into its portfolio. Hence, the product selection that is designed for
applications of up to 2 years has become wider. As an addition to previous
solutions in the area of panels, Neschen added an economy hot lamination
solution to its portfolio: filmolux ECO hot nolite LM (Low Melt) and filmolux
ECO hot scratch LM. The filmolux hot gloss LM plus is replacing the previous
lowmelt product quality, now „filmolux hot gloss lowmelt“, and is
characterized by improved quality. Something entirely new is the
user-friendly adhesive foil „gudy window“ which can
be glued on by hand on the spot. The foil has been especially developed for
easy manual adhesion onto glass windows enabling bubble-free bonding thanks

36) Cytack: Cypreme laminates with a 3
times higher UV-resistance
The lifespan of a product is for a
major part depending on its UV-resistance. The longer a product can resist
UV, the longer it will keep its colour and brilliance and automatically has a
longer lifespan. This was the target of the project for R&D which
resulted into the fact that they managed to develop a laminate with a special
Ocular-UV-filter which improves the UV-resistance times 3 in comparison to
traditionally used products. This special UV-filter has its impact in film
and adhesive to absorb UV-A and UV-B rays to an extremely high degree. Cytack
has enforced all its Cypreme laminates with the special Ocular-UV-filter.

37) JM Technical Textiles guarantees
environmental harmlessness
All of
the manufacturer’s textiles for digital print are produced in accordance with
the Ökotex standard and PVC-free. Already in 2001 JM began to develop
substrates for digital print. From the beginning, the mid-sized company from Mönchengladbach, Germany
attached great importance to bringing only so-called green products to the
market. All products are manufactured without the use of heavy metals and do
not contain any PVC, phthalates, fungicides, glycol ether or phosphates. All
digital print substrates by Junkers & Müllers are manufactured in
accordance with the guidelines of the Ökotex 100 IV standard. Today, JM is
delighted with its early decision as market demands are continuously growing
in this direction. Many well-known companies have introduced corporate
policies to only procure ecologically harmless products. Meanwhile, JM can
offer a comprehensive selection of digitally printable textiles that are
suitable for a wide range of applications.

38) texcon: Transfer printing on natural
fibers
A
perfectly new technology and process engineering will present texcon
GmbH*3t-Innovations from Mönchengladbach, Germany on the ITMA 2007 in Munich. The transfer printing on natural
fibers with the conventional sublimation coloring dyes and -inks are already
on 100% cotton, silk, linen, jute, hemp and their mixtures realized. Others
to now than simply colorable or colorable valid kinds of fiber such as glass
fiber, Aramid and others printed on with sublimation technology. In many
cases a machine investment is not necessary. Process engineering can be
integrated simply into the existing enterprise, whereby accordingly the
pretreatment product of the SNP row (Sublistatic Natural Printing) is
optimized. For light textiles impregnating is recommended and for heavy goods
coatings of all kinds. The products are ecological on water basis, and can
eliminate many improving processes (e.g. coloring) by uni printing. On the
ITMA presents texcon GmbH with the partner company Muratex a multi-functional
impregnating and a coating plant out and the technology and process
engineering of the transfer printing on natural fibers and/or a new transfer
relief technology by a combination of the fiber/chemistry/mechanical
engineering.
