Major update to EasySIGN version 5
Numeral Control Design
(NCD) launched the release of EasySIGN version 5.
Featured products from NCD are the highly scalable and versatile EasySIGN Print Server-Pro, Print Server-Master, Starter,
Professional, Master, and Routing software. EasySIGN
version 5 consists of several different components that can be joined
together in different combinations to create a basic or extended
configuration. The software offers complete flexibility, enabling users to
create a customized solution that suits individual Design, Large Format
Printing, Color Management, Routing, and Cutting requirements. Users can
choose from a variety of different product and output options and increase
functionality as needs expand. EasySIGN 5 Print
Server is a Windows-based client-server RIP solution for sign makers, graphic
artists, designers, and professional printers. Print Server focuses on

Jetrion with newest products at SGIA
Jetrion LLC, one of the leading suppliers of inkjet printers, inks and
custom systems, makes its first appearance at SGIA Digital Expo to introduce
printing companies and OEMs to the company’s proven, high-performance
wide-format solvent and UV inks. For several years, Jetrion’s
wide-format inks have been provided exclusively to leading wide-format OEMs
and directly to the industry’s largest billboard producers. With an expanded
manufacturing facility scheduled to start production early in 2006, Jetrion will have the capacity to offer its
performance-proven wide-format inks to companies at all levels in the
marketplace. Jetrion’s 6500 series true solvent
inks are available in four-color, six-color and Hexachrome
sets. They enable improved printer performance by increasing printhead open time, reducing clogged nozzles, and
reducing printhead maintenance. The Jetrion 6500 inks also extend printhead
life and print on the widest range of vinyl, synthetic, and paper substrates
most often used in outdoor environments. Utilizing the technology of Jetrion’s earlier successful wide-format ink formulas,
the solvent inks are formulated with automotive-grade pigments for
exceptional light fastness and a full two-year outdoor weather resistance.
The inks also have a proven shelf life of twelve months. Jetrion’s
advanced low-HAPS (hazardous air pollutants), high
durability UV color inks produce high image quality at room temperature. The
UV inks that run at room temperature, Jetrion UV
inks entirely eliminate the need to heat the printheads
of wide-format inkjet printers. Jetrion UV inks
provide a large color gamut and have up to two years of outdoor fade
resistance for applications such as point-of-purchase signage, exhibit
displays, customized real estate signs, directional and event signage. SGIA Digital Expo, booth 724 More

Marabu
Ultrajet DUV-X for digital printing
The development and production of
solvent-free UV ink systems plays an essential role in the Marabu product range today. They take into account the
increased environmental awareness and meet the demands of fast and more
reliable production processes. Marabu offers for
all three printing method UV solutions: screen printing, pad printing, and
digital printing. The new UV-curable inkjet series Ultrajet
DUV-X is perfectly suited for flatbed printers thanks to its wide substrate
range, and customers can of course use it for outdoor applications. Ultrajet DUV-X is mainly used for Xaar
XJ 500 printhead-based flatbed printers. The highly
reactive adjustment ensures a fast UV-curing – the odour
of the ink after curing is very low. The pigmentation of Ultrajet
DUV-X has been chosen concerning an excellent light fastness to achieve a
large colorimetric space. These are the possible substrates for Ultrajet DUV-X e.g. rigid PVC and PVC foam board, various
PET materials, coated glass, different metals, e.g. aluminum, many textiles,
or different wood. For digital printing, UV inks mean economical production
on rigid materials for traditionally small print runs and enable new
applications. This includes the decoration of non-flat surfaced substrates
such as textured aluminum, wooden panels, glass, and many other materials
that are used for architectural applications. More
